Frequently Asked Questions

Standard local travel is included in the price of your in-home visit. For locations farther from the Eastport area, an additional travel fee may apply. I’ll confirm any extra charges with you before scheduling your appointment, so there are no surprises.
Your first in-home visit is $149 for up to 60 minutes. Returning visits are $129 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Additional time is billed at $129 per full hour, with your approval before extending the visit. Standard local travel is included.
I help with Windows and Mac computers, smartphones, tablets, Wi-Fi networks, printers, scanners, smart TVs, streaming devices, and basic smart home technology. I also assist with email, online accounts, photos, and everyday digital tasks. If you’re unsure whether I can help with something, just ask.
Lake Effect Works currently focuses on in-home technology support, where I can work directly with you and your devices. If you have a question that might be handled remotely, contact me to discuss your situation.

Most appointments are scheduled for one hour. If your technology needs require more time, we can discuss extending the appointment. Additional time is billed in full-hour increments, and I’ll confirm the cost with you before continuing.
Usually not. In most cases, I can work with the devices and equipment you already own. If a replacement, accessory, or new device is needed, I’ll explain your options before you make a purchase.
Absolutely. I can help with multiple devices or technology questions during the same appointment, as time allows. If you have several things you’d like to address, mentioning them when scheduling will help me plan your visit.
